Privacy Policy

AIMATICS, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) has established and disclosed this Privacy Policy as follows in accordance with Article 30 of the “Personal Information Protection Act” to protect the personal information of data subjects and to ensure that any related grievances are handled promptly and smoothly. This Policy applies to the websites operated by the Company (aimatics.ai, mobility.aimatics.ai, blog.aimatics.ai, and their subdomains).

Article 1: Purpose of Personal Information Processing

The Company processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information processed will not be used for any purpose other than those listed below; should the purpose of use change, the Company will take necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the “Personal Information Protection Act.”

  1. Responding to inquiries regarding implementation, demo requests, and requests for materials; providing quotes and proposals; and consulting for contract execution
  2. Providing marketing information, such as newsletters (only if consent to receive such information has been given)
  3. Analyzing website usage statistics and improving services

Article 3: Period of Processing and Retention of Personal Information

The Company processes and retains personal information within the period specified by law for the retention and use of personal information, or within the period for which consent was obtained from the data subject at the time of collection.

  1. Inquiries about implementation, demo requests, and requests for materials: 3 years from the date the inquiry is received. However, if a contract is concluded, the data will be retained until the contractual relationship ends
  2. Newsletters: Until the user unsubscribes or withdraws consent
  3. Automatically Collected Information: Up to 26 months from the date of collection
  4. If retention is required under relevant laws and regulations, for the period specified in such laws and regulations (e.g., 3 years for records of consumer complaints or dispute resolution under the “Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.”)

Article 4: Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company processes the data subject’s personal information only within the scope specified in Article 1 and does not provide personal information to third parties except in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of the “Personal Information Protection Act,” such as with the data subject’s consent or as required by specific legal provisions.

Article 5 Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing and Overseas Transfer

To ensure smooth business operations, the Company outsources personal information processing as follows; since the contractor’s servers are located overseas, personal information is transferred abroad.

Data subjects may refuse the cross-border transfer of their personal information. However, if you refuse, your use of related services—such as responding to inquiries and receiving newsletters—may be restricted. When entering into an outsourcing contract, the Company stipulates measures for the secure management of personal information in accordance with Article 26 of the “Personal Information Protection Act” and supervises the service provider.

Article 6: Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Legal Representatives, and Methods of Exercise

  1. Data subjects may exercise their rights at any time with respect to the Company, including the right to access, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of personal information, as well as the right to withdraw consent.
  2. Requests to exercise these rights may be submitted via email to the Data Protection Officer listed in Article 9, and the Company will take action without delay (within 10 days).
  3. These rights may be exercised through a representative, such as the data subject’s legal representative or an authorized agent. In such cases, a letter of authorization must be submitted.
  4. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.

Article 7: Destruction of Personal Information

  1. The Company shall destroy personal information without delay when it is no longer necessary, such as upon the expiration of the retention period or the achievement of the purpose of processing.
  2. Information in the form of electronic files will be permanently deleted in a manner that prevents recovery, and paper documents will be destroyed by shredding or incineration.

Article 8: Installation, Operation, and Opt-Out of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices (Cookies)

  1. The Company uses cookies to provide users with personalized services and to track website usage. Cookies are small pieces of information sent to the user’s browser by the server used to operate the website and are stored on the user’s device.

Article 12: Changes to the Privacy Policy
